Picking those Perfect Colors

As soon as that ring hits your finger you most likely will be pelted with a series of questions. A close second to, "When's the date?" and "Where is the Wedding?" is the loaded "What are you Wedding Colors?!?". For us, we take this question very seriously. After every consultation we sit down and brain storm a color story and mood board for that bride. We really take it as the backbone of the whole event. We think about the location, the couples interest, the time of year, and what they are gravitating to color wise. Our color stories are typically layers of color rather than just two pronounced colors. We like to take those layers and apply them to the whole theme of the wedding. A soft touch of color in the save the dates mixed with that same color for the table linens can really bring your whole story together in a very modern and chic way. An example of our color layering theory would be a creamy white and dove grey mixed with the softest of lilac and bluebell blues with just a touch a that bright spring green would be amazing for a outdoor early spring/summer wedding. Grey suits with crisp lilac ties and soft printed floral dresses would be prefect for the bridal party. We would also tie in the color story with the table linens and floral's. Using the dove grey as the base linens with a patterned cream and lilac runner with various heights of floral's perched on top would give the whole look a soft and romantic feel. We truly love coming up with new color stories that match the personality and feeling of our lovely clients. Each is as unique as they are! XOXO, Hannah
